Studio Runner (Placement/Internship)

We are seeking a Studio Runner to join our audio and visual production team as part of a University work placement year or internship scheme. We are after someone with an eye for detail, studying a creative course, eager to get their foot in the creative industry while gaining valuable experience from a small business.
Role Overview:
The Studio Runner is the "go-to" person for various needs, ensuring a productive and efficient workspace. This position would be suited to a student with a passion for digital content creation and looking to kick-start their career in a new media focused agency.
Location: Whitechapel, London, UK
Contract: 9-12 months placement (35-40hrs Per Week)
Key Responsibilities:
Client Support: Providing a positive and helpful experience for clients, including greeting them, offering refreshments, and ensuring their needs are met.
Logistical Support: Running errands, handling deliveries, managing equipment, and assisting with setup and breakdown of studios.
Administrative Tasks: Answering phones, distributing paperwork, managing schedules, and maintaining databases.
Studio Maintenance: Keeping the studio clean, organised, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
Technical Support: Assisting with equipment setup (microphones, cables, etc.), and potentially learning about different roles within the studio.
Problem Solving: Quickly addressing any issues that arise and finding solutions to keep the studio running smoothly.
In essence, a Studio Runner acts as a jack-of-all-trades, providing essential support to the entire studio team and contributing to a positive and efficient work environment.
Requirements:
Students currently enrolled or studying a course at a UK educational institution.
Legally authorised to work in the UK.
Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
Problem-solving mindset and ability to work effectively under pressure.
Self-starter attitude to make things happen without being told.
Candidates with a creative portfolio or website preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Studying a course in Media, Film or related studies but not essential.
Familiarity with podcast industry trends and best practices.
A passion for podcasts and a strong understanding of their production process.
